She got what she paid for. If you want an awesome lasik procedure go to a specialist. I had mine done saturady and got advanced customvue lasik. Worth every penny of the three thousand dollars I paid. Next day seeing 20/15. I don’t really feel sorry for people who pay a mere $300 an eye. Idiot.

Lissa a corneal transplant is not your only hope to restore your vision in your right eye! You can have stem cell treatment therapy done with your own genetic make up to restore your vision in your right eye in case you did not know. Now you live in an area where there are medical school hospitals that you never considered!
Now what I am talking about is where there are medical scholars doing this kind of work to cure blindness through dna/rna reconstruction from your own body, and that is a fact! Now I am not talking about embryonic stem cell therapy, I am talking about what can be done with your own genetic make up! Make no mistake about this, and that is there flexible elements in your genetic make up that involve adult stem cell treatment!

I paid $3700 and did my homework, found a doctor in the game almost 20 years, Treated my eyes very well before surgery (lots of moisture drops, lots of sleep) dont be afraid people, youtube/internet made me super afraid and i almost didnt do it, don’t let their fear mongering effect your desire for great vision, just do your homework
@krusha666 I agree. I spent £2900 here in the UK and had done my homework for months. I got a great result and it was worth every penny.
As a lawyer, I’d have expected her to be able to afford something better.
It’s sad, either way.
The vast majority of lasik “doctors” go through a weekend instructional seminar thats promoted by the machine manufacturer.

Had lasik in 2001 and I smelled burning flesh. In 2008 I began to notice my distant vision was slowly fading and now in 2010 my distant vision is poor. Well, time for a second procedure.

@rjhgmail i went to iris in vancouver canada, their head doctor hugo sutton is in his own league, he was even part of the algorithmic technology used in the carl zeiss lasers that they use… one of the doctors i met there was -13.00 , -13.50 and he had the surgery done because he was confident in his team , it really is a different environment when you pick a professional place vs these bullshit oil change discount centers
they picked the wrong patient to mess the surgery up on. lol she’s a lawyer.

@thequinton07 Just North of $3000 CAD seven years ago. Lets say $3200 CAD, which would be roughly $3100 USD at the time. Adjust that for inflation and it would be around $3700 USD in todays dollars.

Did you do any research at all?!?!! Everyone who has the procedure smells burning flesh, because that's what the lasers are doing!!!! They're lasers! Not magical vision beams! They are re-shaping your eye, by removing flesh. Educate yourself you stupid American prick!
@colegedropoutyourmom What in the hell are you so angry about that would prompt you to reply to a comment posted to a Youtube.com video with such negativity? For the record, I merely posted that comment as a first hand recount of what went on during the procedure. Surprise!
@tech951 I wasn’t aware that there was a youtube.org, but thank you for being clear about which youtube you were referring to. Your first post seemed to be insinuating that the smell of burning flesh was an indication that the procedure had gone wrong. The abortion of a lawyer in the video made the same insinuation, which you appeared to be supporting with an ignorant post. Upon reading your second post however, I’ve realized that you just have difficulty identifying relevant information.

@tech951 …one more time for those in the back of the class. ‘youtube.com’ is the only YouTube. There is no youtube.org, therefore ‘.com’ is redundant and irrelevant. Just as the smell of burning flesh was irrelevant regarding your vision deterioration. It was a misleading post, just the way Americans like it. Why don’t you go buy a house you can’t afford and get even more obese, maybe get a $100 eye surgery while you’re at it.
